May 2010 - DaliControl SC64IP, Firmware 2.1 now available

The established KNX-DALI Gateway DaliControl SC64IP will from now on be delivered with the new firmware 2.1 to ensure that it meets the requirements of the latest browsers.

In addition to its well-known features such as commissioning directly on the device or via the software tool, the DaliControl SC64IP also offers a further commissioning option via the integrated web server. If the gateway is connected to an existing IP network via a standard patch cable, the device's commissioning website can be accessed via any browser, simply by entering the IP address. With the new firmware 2.1, the latest generation of browsers (especially those of mobile devices such as the iPhone,Google-G1 and Nokia) can now be used for commissioning. Thus, a modern mobile phone can replace any other DALI commissioning tool.

In addition to the technical optimisation, the web site design has also been updated. The commissioning interface now appears in a modern design that is consistent across all IPAS devices.

April 2010 - in retrospect Light+Building 2010

Like the previous years also this time in the fore was the presentation of our new product inovations, as
well as the intensely dialogue with our customers. Especial the new ComBridge Studio Evolution Software,
the innovative TouchControl ETS6C or our access control and time-management system Axesso proved as
an highlight our company presentation.

After six exhibition-days, full of absorbing dialogues, presentation and encouragement by our customers,
we strike a consistently balance. Thomas Nierhoff, business manager by IPAS GmbH, says:

"The professionel quality of our visitors as well as the attendance for investments showed us again, the Light+Building is the most important exhibition for building management.

January 2010 - ComBridge WCI, KNX low-cost visualisation with a new design

For a number of years IPAS has now been offering the ComBridge Web Communication Interface (WCI) - a powerful KNXnet/IP Gateway with integrated web server to observe and control KNX systems with any standard web browser.

The device makes it possible to create simple visualisations of up to 40 KNX functions without using an additional PC. Via an additional tunnelling connection the WCI can also be used to configure a KNX installation with ETS or to change the configuration.

From January 2010 onwards devices will be delivered with the new firmware version 5.0.5. Apart from a number of functional enhancements the new firmware offers a completely up-dated and modern web layout of the visualisation pages.

The design follows the display of the IPAS TouchControl ETS6C (circular blue) to ensure that the user can easily recognise and intuitively control the visualisation. When developing the firmware, a major focus has been on the control and display on current mobile devices.

The new firmware is now not only optimised for the standard browsers Internet Exploer and Firefox but also for browser display on the iPhone, Goggle-G1, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This means that numerous WLAN enabled mobile phones can now be used as control stations for a domestic KNX installation.

Thanks to the WCI's up-date function, existing devices can be up-dated to the new firmware. The update files as well as the description of the software can be found in our Download-Center.

Juni 2009 - KNX Axesso Card Reader - New models

As part of the product optimisation process, changes have been made to the card readers in the IPAS Axesso access and time management system. From now on new IPAS Axesso card reader models are available. The changes affect both the chip card and the transponder card versions of the device. The new versions are available as follows:

April 2009 - IPAS ComBridge Multimediagateway MMG now operates EPSON video projectors

With the new application 0118-EpsonBeamer-E010 for the popular IPAS Multimediagateway, it is now possible to operate a wide range of market leader EPSON's video projectors via KNX. The application enables the operation of both basic EPSON models (e.g. EMP-S5, EMP-X5) and high-end devices (e.g. EB-G5100, EB-G5350).

Using the MMG the projectors can be switched on and off via KNX; the sources can be selected and the audio volume of the projector can be adjusted. The MMG uses the ASCII interface which is integrated in EPSON devices. The possible integration in KNX scenes offers the opportunity of a wide range of use in presentation and media rooms.
